Austin Gifford, DVM
Veterinarian & Practice Owner
Dr. Austin Gifford is a third generation Arizona native who truly knows and loves this state. He obtained his Bachelor of Science in Animal Physiology and Behavior from Arizona State University. He then went on to earn his Doctorate in Veterinary Medicine from Ross University and completed clinical rotations at Iowa State University.
Dr. Gifford is excited to be practicing veterinary medicine back in his hometown. While engaging in a wide range of services, Dr. Gifford has special interests in dentistry and dermatology.
In addition to caring for pets, Dr. Gifford enjoys being outdoors and exploring the diverse Arizona wilderness with his wife, son and two daughters. In his free time, Dr. Gifford loves trail running and mountain biking. The Gifford family is obsessed with their cat, Mango and their dog, Rosie.
Lindsey
Practice Manager
Lindsey first joined the PPC team while finishing her degree at Arizona State University. She graduated with her Bachelor of Science with a major in pre-veterinary medicine and worked as a technician with Primary Pet Care. Lindsey now upholds the high standards of quality at PPC as the Practice manager.
She currently lives in Phoenix with her husband Fernando and cat Clover, a bobtailed kitty nicknamed ‘Puppy’ because of the way she wags her tail. In her free time, Lindsey loves to travel, binge watch TV and spend time with her family and friends.
Alexis
Certified Veterinary Technician – Lead
Alexis, a native of Arizona, earned her associate’s degree from Pima Medical Institute and obtained her CVT license in 2017.
Currently residing in the East Valley with her husband, Chris, she shares her home with three dogs (Thorin, Gilly, Laramie) and two cats (Pippin and Poppy). Beyond her role at PPC, Alexis dedicates her time to caregiving for her grandfather. During her leisure moments, she embraces the outdoors, exploring new hiking trails and seeking dispersed camping sites. A recent passion includes participating in trail races. Additionally, Alexis enjoys gaming on the Nintendo Switch and indulging in reruns of “The Office.”
Isabella
Veterinary Technician
Isabella is a proud Mesa, Arizona native who earned her Approved Veterinary Assistant (AVA) certification from the East Valley Institute of Technology in 2023.
In her personal time, Isabella is a nature enthusiast who relishes adventures in the wilderness. Her free time is also dedicated to moments with family and friends, accompanied by her three canine companions: Molly, Ella, and Kona, 100 birds, and 2 sugar gliders. Always adorned with a smile, Isabella is committed to ensuring your visit with Primary Pet Care is a cheerful experience.
Ashlynn
Veterinary Technician
Ashlynn also spends her free time volunteering with rescued exotic animals, which gives her the opportunity to work with unique species and continue learning about animal care. Whether she’s caring for patients, tending to plants, or working with rescued animals, Ashlynn is happiest when she’s surrounded by the things she loves most—animals and nature.
Hope
Customer Service Representative
Hope is a skilled veterinary professional with over 6 years of experience as a veterinary technician, and is excited to continue helping animals and their families in her new role as a client service representative (CSR). When she’s not working, Hope is usually surrounded by her husband, Quinton, her four dogs (Lilo, Lola, Evie, and Gracie), and four cats (Lemon, Tangerine, Pogo Stick, and Lunar).
Hope also enjoys paddle boarding, hiking, playing pool, and watching Law and Order SVU, in her free time.
